TV Set Solutions

Efficient diode and MOSFET solutions for modern LCD, LED and smart-TV power systems, covering PFC boost rectification, primary flyback and buck switching, RCD clamping, controller-bias rectification and low-loss output rails.

TV set power-supply application

Optimized power conversion and rectification for modern television platforms

TV power supplies convert the universal AC input into multiple isolated and non-isolated rails for the main board, audio stage, tuner, panel electronics, standby circuits and LED backlight. A practical architecture combines input filtering, PFC boost conversion, a high-voltage flyback or resonant primary stage, RCD snubber clamping, auxiliary VCC rectification and low-loss secondary output diodes. Buck switching may also regulate backlight or point-of-load rails. Selecting the correct diode recovery behavior, forward-voltage drop, voltage margin and MOSFET switching performance is essential for high efficiency, low standby power and dependable thermal operation in slim television enclosures.

About the solution

Coordinated PFC, primary switching, clamp protection and multi-rail secondary rectification

The television power board conditions the AC input, improves input power factor and stores energy on a high-voltage DC bus. A flyback, resonant or related primary stage transfers isolated energy to the secondary rails, while RCD diodes clamp leakage-inductance spikes and VCC diodes rectify the auxiliary winding for controller bias. Output diodes provide efficient rectification for the LED backlight, main-board, standby and panel rails, and buck MOSFET positions can regulate selected LED or point-of-load channels.

Scalable across compact televisions, large-screen smart TVs and display power boards

The same functional blocks can be adapted for entry-level LCD televisions, high-brightness LED-backlit models, large smart TVs, hospitality displays and commercial monitor platforms. Voltage rating, current capability, diode technology, switching frequency, thermal package and rail count can be selected according to panel size, backlight power, audio output and standby requirements.

Rectifiers and switching devices matched to every critical television power path

High-voltage PFC diodes, ultrafast RCD-clamp diodes, low-leakage VCC rectifiers, Schottky and ultrafast output diodes, super-junction flyback MOSFETs and low-voltage buck MOSFETs provide a practical semiconductor platform for efficient, compact and reliable television power-supply development.
