PD Fast Charging
Application
USB PD is a power delivery protocol built on the USB Type-C interface. It adopts a two-way communication mechanism, enabling devices to negotiate voltage and current for more flexible charging solutions. Leveraging the Type-C interface, the PD protocol delivers faster charging speeds and higher energy transmission efficiency.
PD is widely used in various devices such as smartphone chargers, tablets and laptops. By contrast, the QC fast charging protocol is based on the USB Type-A interface and relies on dedicated chips embedded in USB cables. It enables communication between chargers and connected devices to determine the optimal charging rate, and supports multiple fast charging versions including QC 2.0, QC 3.0 and QC 4.0.
Our products are mainly applied to three key modules of PD solutions: high-voltage SJ COOL MOSFET drivers, synchronous rectification (SR) control circuits, and VBUS MOSFET control circuits.
